It’s a no brainer that Marco V had his work cut out when he delivered the first half of his latest artist album Propaganda. To be able to come up with something as good or better seemed to us impossible, as truly speaking, it was the best thing we’ve ever heard. But the truth is, when you listen to Part 2, you’re left asking yourself why you’d ever doubt Marco in the first place. Propaganda Part 2 is a stunningly produced LP that displays the intelligence and complexity of Marco V’s capabilities as a producer and fully demonstrates why he is unrivalled in his field.
To commence proceedings, Marco has orchestrated what we believe to be one of his best ever workings, a track that is melodic, moving, lyrically sound and downright genius. It’s called When The Night Falls, and it’s the 2nd single to be released from this serving of Propaganda. Up next is Scenario featuring the haunting vocals from Khashassi, who makes a second appearance on the album with Predator This is impeccable music fodder on a grand scale and further illustrates the sheer diversity of Marco V, forming the first main single release, due imminently.
The Miracles of Life see Marco concoct a spine-tingling masterpiece that begins to take the album down into the harder, darker side of the V:Man’s repertoire, one that smacks of versatility and what is perfectly reflected in the moody and relentless tech rhythms of Song In My Head. Marco finally steers us towards those euphoric sounds he is so globally revered for – unrivalled peak time material, Lucky Star, Final Chapter and his own remix of the seminal track Simulated, Simulated 2010.
And so as the story of Propaganda draws to a close, we are left not on a cliffhanger, but with a feeling of satisfaction, knowing that the V man has delivered as promised and has in fact gone beyond what was expected. Project Propaganda has been a journey for us all, and one that has pave the way for Marco V to continue doing what he does best –making music for those who appreciate good music, and as ever, not conforming to the norm.
